Updates From Moldova

The small country of Moldova is overcrowded with refugees from the neighboring country. Cars are lined up in kilometer-long queues in front of the border, an uninterrupted stream of people is entering the country. Most of the refugees are actually on their way to the EU and use Moldova as a transit country. However, they have to wait for hours or even days before entering Moldova. Many have eaten little or nothing during this time. Nevertheless, they want to move on as quickly as possible. When these people then want to leave, they have to wait again for many hours. In some cases, they leave their cars behind and prefer to walk to the border to make it go faster.
To help these people, our workers are distributing food and clothing, because some do not even have a change of clothes. Our workers have been working continuously for days to provide the refugees with food and shelter.  Many of the workers do this service also on other border areas.  It is forbidden to take pictures there. In Bravicea, a refugee center has now also been set up.  There Eduard and a team distributed food, clothes, and some money today. In addition, some employees help in a stadium in Chisinau and distribute food and everything necessary.
Currently, fears are growing that Russia will not stop at the border and will also attack Moldova.  The government is becoming noticeably more nervous and is now thinking about not allowing any male citizens to leave the country – in case there is fighting.  Meanwhile, the families of our workers have also packed an emergency bag in case they also have to flee.
